New Girls Team After the success of the newly
formed boys under 12 team, Cheadle Hulme are now looking to start up a junior
girls team. Although recruitment is under way more girls are required so that
the club can enter a team in the league this coming September. All kit will be
provided and regular coaching will be given by a fully qualified coach. Contact

Chris Peacock has left the club to spend the next two years in New Zealand. The
club wish him well on his travels. Masters Mayhem The
club may not have any players in the world championships but several of the clubs
players are involved in the grand masters tournament. Welsh wizard Gareth 'Taffy'
Jones has decided to represent England in the competition with Englishman Steve
'Fishy' Fish set to play for the Canadian team. Gary 'Tomo' Thompson however,
who is as English as they come, has come up with the bizarre idea of playing for
.England!
Weirdo. Pre Season Training Pre-season training
is due to commence next week when the world championships are over, watch this
space for exact dates and times. AGM update The
Club's AGM was held on Tuesday 13th July. Steve Bateman has become the 1st
team captain of vice. Ben Ransome will now pass on all his his knowledge of tactics
to his young understudy
when he has a spare 30 seconds! Steve
Pollock has taken over from James Bicknell as club treasurer. The club thanks
James for 17 years service in the role. More Junior Success The
club's under 12 and under 16 sides competed in a national junior tournament prior
to the world championships at Fallowfield. Both sides reached the semi final stages
and eventually finished 3rd in a competition where the standard was very high. Senior
Subs Due Some senior subscriptions are still outstanding for the 2009/10
season. The club agreed at last week's AGM that players with subs outstanding
will not be able to play next season until all subs have been settled. In addition
the club has agreed that all amounts still outstanding from the previous five
seasons will be written off on the condition that the players involved pay a one
off fine of £25. These players will be notified shortly. Subscription
payments should be given to Gareth Jones or Steve Pollock.
Cheadle Hulme 1st finish top of the 4th Division with a
16-5 win against Norbury.
